Virtual counselling sessions are available to residents of British Columbia and Ontario. 

In person sessions are available on Thursdays at 1089 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC.

        Finding the right “fit” with a therapist you feel comfortable with is really important. If you don't see your specific concern on the services descriptions below, we may still work well together. Please feel free to contact me so we can arrange a 20-minute video or telephone call at no charge. Whether you are calling for yourself or on behalf of a youth, I’m happy to answer your questions, discuss my skills, and let you get to know me before committing to a first session.

50-90 minute sessions

In these one-on-one sessions we will discuss what you hope to address in therapy, collaborate on goals and a treatment plan. These sessions are confidential, which allows a space to process anything on your mind knowing that your counsellor is compassionate, non-judgmental and committed to helping you overcome your distress. Some of the clinical issues which I can support clients with include, but are not limited to:

  • Trauma and Post-traumatic stress

  • Anxiety & Anxiety-related disorders

    • OCD, Social anxiety, Panic, Generalized anxiety​, Phobias, etc.

  • Depression

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Self-harm and Suicidality

  • Existential concerns (lack of meaning or purpose)

  • Grief

  • Interpersonal & relational conflict

  • Self-care

  • Stress & burnout

  • Anger

  • Self-esteem

  • Chronic illness & pain

  • Spirituality

  • Strategies for parents - connection & setting effective boundaries

Individual Counselling

30-50 minute sessions

In these one-on-one sessions we will collaborate on goals and build emotional literacy to cope with life challenges. These sessions are confidential, meaning the counsellor may not communicate with family members unless it's an emergency. The aim in sessions with youth is often to ensure they feel comfortable expressing themselves, help them make sense of their experience and empower them to build resiliency skills. I take a strengths-based, creative approach to help youth overcome distress. Some of the clinical issues which I can support clients with include, but are not limited to:

  • Anxiety & Anxiety-related disorders

    • OCD, Social anxiety, Panic, Generalized anxiety​, Phobias, etc.

  • Depression

  • Suicidal thoughts and self-harming behaviours

  • Self-care

  • Sleep quality & night terrors

  • ADHD

  • Attachment issues

  • Behavioural issues

  • Grief

  • Peer & family relationships

  • Self-esteem

  • Identity

  • Life transitions (school, divorce, blended families, etc.)

Flower Bulb

The cost per 50-minute session is $140 (incl. HST). Session duration can be adjusted for a prorated fee. Fees are payable by e-transfer, all major credit cards and interact debit. Some availability for reduced fees are offered. Please do not hesitate to ask about this policy through email or phone call.

Insurance Coverage

Depending on your provider, services may be partially or fully covered. Unfortunately direct billing is not available at this time, but the provided receipt can be submitted for reimbursement. Please check your coverage carefully by asking your provider:

  • Do I have mental health services?

  • Do you provide coverage for "Registered Psychotherapists" or "Registered Clinical Counsellors"?

  • What is my annual limit, and is there a deductible?
